It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), in Sunan al-Darimi, that whoever recites the opening verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayatul Kursi and the two verses after it, and the closing verses of the Surah, shaytan will not enter that house that night. Those two verses after it are 256 and 257 — ending at khaalidoon. Most homes recite it this way. Almost no home can display it this way.
